Our 7.5 hour Wildlife Cruise in Kenai Fjords National Park is an incredible day! Our ship is a large, comfortable catamaran with a great crew. The crew takes great care of us, serving a terrific lunch, and drinks and snacks all day long. An on board national park ranger narrates our entire journey around Resurrection Bay and out into the Bay of Alaska where we see two tidal Glaciers, Holgate and Aialik.

You never know what wildlife we will see along the way! Humpbacks, orcas, sea otters, harbor seals, sea lions, and lots and lots of birds! Kittywakes, puffins, guillemots, and gulls. If you see a bright green colored patch in the water, it might just be a smack of jellyfish!

We’ll spend time at each of the glaciers which is an all sensory experience. The sound of the ice popping in the water and the thunder of it calving off the glacier is amazing. The smell of the fresh cold air drafts coming off the glacier are so refreshing. And of course the colors, texture and sheer size of the the glaciers are unforgettable. You can even taste the glacier by sampling some of the ice the crew scoops out of the ocean, in a glacierita!
