Day 1

Depart Portland, ME

Welcome to Maine! We'll begin our Acadia Adventure by picking you up in Portland, ME (or Bangor ME) and driving to Acadia where we will settle into our basecamp for the week. A short five minute walk will take you to the ocean shore, a perfect spot to watch sunrise every morning!

Day 2

Sand Beach, Acadia

We'll explore the Sand Beach section of Acadia. There will be lots of hiking options including a stroll along the Ocean Path, or a hike up Gorham Mountain for stunning views. For more of a challenge you can tackle the Beehive or Great Head trails. Make sure you take time to sit for a moment and take in the crashing waves on the rocky pink granite cliffs or at Sand Beach! End the day with a cookout and a campfire.

Day 3

Acadia Carriage Trails

Today's journey takes us into Bar Harbor to rent some bikes to explore the 40+ miles of Carriage Roads in Acadia. If you are not into biking, we'll set you up with another fun activity like kayaking, a scenic boat cruise, or more hiking. Spend some time taking in Bar Harbor's shops, restaurants, galleries and museums.

Southwest Harbor Acadia

Day 4

Southwest Harbor

We head over to the "quiet side" of Acadia National Park. In the morning we'll take in a few shorter but scenic trails that go through dense forests to beautiful ocean views. If the tide is right, we'll do some tide pooling! In the afternoon we'll explore Southwest Harbor and for those who want it, we'll tackle some bigger hikes: Flying Mountain, Sauveur Mountain and Acadia Mountain.

Southwest Harbor Acadia
Kayaking Acadia

Day 5

Acadia by Sea!

Here is your chance to see Acadia from another perspective, from the Ocean! Go on a kayaking tour or a scenic/nature boat cruise to see wildlife and lighthouses. If that doesn't interest you, we'll take in more hikes in the Sieur de Monts area or Jordon Pond. The options are limitless!

Day 6

More Acadia

On our last full day in this magnificent park, we'll make sure you've seen all the park has to offer. We take the time today to take in a trail we might have missed, a museum in Bar Harbor, or a scenic cruise, etc. Our day will end with sunset atop of the famous Cadillac Mountain, the highest peak along the Eastern seaboard.

Day 7

Return to Portland/Bangor

We'll pack up our basecamp and head back to Portland or Bangor. If time allows, we'll take in a short hike along our journey.
