Guest Gallery: Canadian Rockies Day 4 by Rose Resner

Today we spent the day at the beautiful Lake Louise which is a hamlet in Banff National Park. It’s known for its turquoise, glacier-fed lake ringed by high peaks and is overlooked by the Fairmont Hotel. We hiked up to the Lake Agnes Tea House which was so picturesque and had a nice selection of teas and treats (a definite must if visiting Lake Louise). The Lake was named after the Princess Louise Caroline Alberta (1848–1939), the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria, and the wife of John Campbell, the 9th Duke of Argyll, who was the Governor General of Canada from 1878 to 1883. We then headed north along the beautiful Icefields Parkway towards Jasper stopping at Sunwapta Falls on the way.
