We'll continue our journey to cookout and camp just outside of our next great destination...
Almost out of a fairy tale Bryce is nothing like you've ever seen. Spend the day among the “HooDoos” by hiking the Navajo Loop and Queen’s Garden Trails, or stare at the maze of ancient sandstone spires from the rim of the canyon. Later, we'll drive to camp near Grand Canyon.
You'll never forget the serene beauty of North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park! Lazily enjoy breathtaking views while strolling along the rim of this vast canyon or hike into the canyon to the Supai Tunnel.
Wake to an incredible sunrise among the famous mesas and buttes of Monument Valley. After a tasty southwestern style breakfast, take a Navajo guided jeep tour to see the monuments up close. We'll continue on to Moab past more unique landscapes. Later, we’ll stroll into town for dinner at the Moab Brewery.
Spend the day hiking among giant natural sandstone arches sculpted by wind and time in the Devil’s Garden. There is no other place like this in the world! Later we’ll cool off in a swim hole or campground pool, toast some marshmallows around the campfire, or sample the brews of Moab!
Raft the Colorado, mountain bike, horseback ride, rent a jeep, try your hand at canyoneering, or relax and shop in Moab for the day. ($20-$80). We’ll assist you in setting up your day’s adventure by recommending reliable companies. In the evening, we recommend taking a sunset tour into Moab’s beautiful outback on the unique UniMog. ($35)
We'll roll back into Salt Lake City between 10-12 noon. Some folks will leave us, and some folks will join us for our next week's adventure!
Begin the day by breathing some fresh mountain air in the world's first national park, Yellowstone! Hike past Fountain Paint Pots, Morning Glory Geyser, and of course the most famous geyser, Old Faithful. Watch Old Faithful erupt boiling water and stream 30 meters into Wyoming’s blue sky. Later, warm your toes around a cozy campfire.
Explore the “Grand Canyon of Yellowstone” with its 300 ft waterfalls, raging Yellowstone River, and wildflower meadows. Watch bison grazing in Haydn Valley. Later, we’ll peek inside the bubbling Dragon’s Cauldron and end the day with a campfire under the stars.
Grand Teton National Park is known for its sharp, snow capped peaks and excellent hiking trails. We’ll visit the Colter Bay area first, and let you loose to hike past serene Jackson, Heron and Swan Lakes where it is likely you'll spot deer, moose or elk! Rent a canoe to explore the nearby inlets, or take a scenic boat ride around the lake.
Take a short boat ride across Jenny Lake at the base of Grand Teton Mountain, hike past Hidden Falls, Inspiration Point, and continue into Cascade Canyon. This canyon is filled with wildlife, flowers, and waterfalls. Follow Cascade Creek up into the canyon, and you are likely to see a moose or two!
Explore this cowboy town for the day, or, do a little horseback riding or white water rafting on the Snake River! Enjoy the many galleries, shops, and restaurants.
We'll roll back into Salt Lake City by noon, exchange emails so we can share photos, and say our goodbyes.
