This tour features our unique Adventure Bus sleeper coach.
Accommodations
This tour features tent camping and bus bunking. We'll provide the tents and sleeping pads. You'll need to rent or bring a sleeping bag. Contact us for helpful hints on accommodations and flights before and after your tour.

Warm to hot days and cool to chilly nights are typical on this tour.

Itinerary

Day 1
We’ll pick up you and your fellow adventures in Rapid City at 2PM. We’ll begin our journey with a stop at historic Wall Drug. We’ll continue on to Badlands National Park and visit Prairie Dog Town and several other scenic overlooks before settling in to camp in the park.


Day 2
We’ll spend the day exploring Badlands National Park including Notch Trail and Medicine Loop. In the afternoon we’ll drive to camp near Devil’s Tower National Monument after a stop in historic and wild, Deadwood, SD.


Day 3
Devil's Tower was the world's first national monument due to its geological uniqueness and spiritual significance. Hike around the tower through forests and meadows and learn about its importance to the Lakota people.


Day 4
We’ll spend the morning at Crazy Horse Monument. You’ll be inspired by the monument and the stories behind the making of it. In the afternoon, we’ll explore Mt Rushmore. Tonight we'll camp in Custer State Park.


Day 5
Hike up Black Elk Peak, the highest peak in South Dakota for views reaching as far as the Badlands! Hike around beautiful Sylvan Lake or take a dip in its refreshing waters. This area is full of unique granite formations and wildflowers. In the afternoon we’ll drive the scenic loop and watch for bison, deer, mountain goats, prairie dogs, and wild burros roaming the beautiful meadows.


Day 6
Explore Wind Cave on an underground tour. See the rare boxwork formations on a guided tour. Spend some time in the unique town of Custer State Park.


Day 7
We'll roll back into Rapid City between 10-12 noon.
