Where We Travel
Adventure Bus has
been delivering folks to great hiking and biking trails,
and scenic wonders throughout the West for 11 years. The
National Parks are our specialty, and this season, we
will be traveling to over 20 parks including Death
Valley, Grand Canyon, Zion, Glacier, Arches, Mesa Verde,
Olympic, and Yellowstone. We also explore and camp in
many wonderful State Parks including Coral Pink Sand
Dunes and Mitchell Caverns. Our mountain biking tours
include some of the most epic trails the sport has to
offer, including Gooseberry Mesa, and Moab’s Porcupine
Rim Trail. |

Who Travels with Us
Everyone! Students,
mountain bikers, teachers, families, musicians, lawyers,
doctors, photographers, writers, democrats AND
republicans. We also get first time hikers and campers
as well as experienced travelers and backpackers. Folks
of all ages and from all walks of life with a quest for
a different experience choose to travel with Adventure
Bus. The more diverse the group, the more exciting and
amazing the tour is. It’s not uncommon to have folks
from 2-3 different countries along for the adventure.
One of the highlights of the trip is getting to know and
share this unique experience with people from around the
world. A strong bond quickly forms between travelers,
and while a trip begins with 15 or so strangers, it
usually ends with a "family" of travelers. Adventure Bus
welcomes families and children to join us on our
adventures, but the majority are solo travelers ages
25-60. For more on families and children click here.Warning!!: Traveling with Adventure
Bus can be addicting! Over 25% of our guests in 2008
were returning customers. Some were back for the 4th,
5th and even 6th tour!

Our Tours
Adventure Bus
tours are more than just great sites and trails. Delicious
cookouts, laughter around a campfire, inspiring sunsets,
relaxation and fresh air make your fun-filled journey complete.
Our flexible itineraries and accommodating hospitality provide
opportunity for individualized adventure. Hike as long and hard
as you want to, (or not), take part in a ranger-led program,
relax by a tree and read a book, or stop and take a dozen photos
if you wish. It is your tour! Most of our tours offer extra
activities such as kayaking, rafting, climbing, or biking. We’ll
help you choose what is right for you. We’ve always got
something up our sleeves! And then there is the bus! Traveling
by sleeper coach allows us to maximize our play time at our
great destinations. Fully equipped for a fun road trip and
camping experience, she is also a comfortable ride. Within the
first few hours, she’ll feel like your home away from home!

How We Travel
From the towering peaks of the Grand Tetons,
to the weathered sandstone cliffs, arches and canyons of the
Southwest, we take you where you want to be - we take you
away! And the best way we know how to do that is with our
unique sleeper coach bus! She, (AKA Molly) is like a member
of our family. The interior of our buses are extremely
unconventional - in a good way! With the seats removed, our
buses have been converted into lounge areas complete with
pillows, a stereo system and an ice chest for beverages. As
night falls and we return from another exciting day of
adventure, the tables and couches convert into comfy cozy
bus-beds. There you can do a little light reading, play some
cards with your friends while listening to groovy bus tunes
on the bus-wide sound system or drift off to sleep while we
cruise on down the road. By morning, our drivers will have
delivered us to the next wonderful place to explore,
wherever it may be. Some nights, we’ll stay in campgrounds
and enjoy star filled skies, campfires, and yes... showers!
It will be your choice to sleep in your bus-bed, in a tent,
or right out under the stars. |
Why Adventure Bus?
Simply,
because you’ll have the time of your life! You’ll see
incredible sights, and meet incredible people. But why
us, and not another adventure travel company? Most of
our crew were once guests on an Adventure Bus tour. We
know what it’s like to be in your hiking boots and bike
cleats, and how important it is for you to feel safe. We
know how precious and limited your vacation time is, and
recognize that everyone has individual interests and
abilities. We therefore strive to organize our tours in
such a way that lets you spend your time the way YOU
want to. Our guides are extremely knowledgeable,
friendly, and entertaining because we love our jobs and
the places we visit! We’ll make sure you don’t miss the
best sights and photo ops, but we’ll also take you off
the beaten path and away from the crowds. We recognize
that money is always tight, and do what we can to keep
our tours economical and affordable. No hidden fees, no
single-supplements, (added fees for traveling solo), no
hostel or hotel fees. We will inform you up front about
any extra costs for meals or optional activities, so you
can be prepared to enjoy your vacation. We depart our
tours from major cities saving you money before your
tour even begins. |

Something Very Different
Folks choose Adventure Bus tours for their own
reasons, and everyone experiences them in their own way. At the
very least, you’ll see extraordinary places and meet great
people. Chances are you’ll make memories that will inspire you
time and time again. For us, Adventure Bus is an opportunity to
explore the outdoors and make great friends. It is also an
opportunity for new adventures and challenges. For you, we hope
it will be an opportunity to relax and just be yourself, to get
away from the stressors of today’s fast paced world; a chance to
try new activities and maybe even exceed your own abilities and
expectations; a chance to feel awake and alive, and to take that
feeling back home with you! |

Our credo in nature…please respect It!
We are great believers in leaving the
areas that we visit in as untouched a condition as is possible. We
encourage everyone who travels with us to respect the land, the people
and their fellow travelers. Please think and act responsibly and be
considerate of others while you enjoy the journey.
At Adventure Bus, both in the office
and on the road, we strive to lesson our impact on our world and will
encourage you to do the same. We RECYCLE what we can on the bus
and in the office; paper, glass, cans, plastic bottles, etc. We
REDUCE our waste by never using disposable items such as paper
plates and plastic cutlery, and plastic grocery bags. We will encourage
you to have a REUSABLE container to carry your water in, and
provide you with a safe water supply and encourage you NOT to buy
bottled water which is bad for you, your pocket, and the environment. We REPAIR our equipment such as tents, chairs and
sleeping bags when we can instead of just throwing them away. We are
also doing RESEARCH into new ways to cut down our waste including
composting and using waste vegetable oil for fuel. We know it is our
RESPONSIBILITY to leave our world a better place for the next
generation.
