We'll prep you
for your adventure and then enjoy a comfortable journey to our first
destination....
Day 2
Mt St Helen's National Monument May 18, 1980 is a day the people of Washington will always
remember. The mountain itself is awe inspiring, but
viewing its path of destruction and the footage from that
fateful day reminds us all of Mother Nature's powerful
forces. The eruption removed nearly 2000 ft off the peak,
produced massive mudslides that destroyed thousands of acres of
wilderness and even created two new lakes. Yet life on the
mountain survived despite the violent event.
Day 3
Mt Rainier National Park
Rising 14,411 feet, Mt Rainier is an unforgettable sight
whether you view it from the coastline jutting out of the
lowlands, or up close from the many alpine meadows which
surround the massive lone peak. Wildflowers and wildlife
are abundant in this park, as well as beautiful hiking trails.
There is a reason they call one of the main sections of the park
Paradise!
Day 4 Olympic National Park We'll start our exploration of Olympic National Park by
tide pooling among the sea stacks of Ruby Beach! In the
afternoon, we'll hike through the primeval Hoh Rain Forest
before once again heading back to the coastline to camp right on
the beach in La Push!
Day 5 Rialto Beach and Crescent Lake,
Olympic National Park
More tide pooling and beach exploration as we hike to Hole in
the wall at Rialto Beach. In the afternoon hike to Marymere
Falls or dip your toes in the pristine waters of Crescent Lake.
Once again, the sounds of the ocean will lull us to sleep as we
camp by the sea!
Day 6 Hurricane Ridge Olympic National
Park
You'll feel like you are on top of the world as you hike the
many trails on Hurricane Ridge. You are sure to see deer and
mountain goats as you explore the ridge, and maybe even a bear
or two! Enjoy meadows filled with wild flowers and stunning
views of the Straits of Juan du Fuco.
Day 7 We'll return to the Seattle area (Seatac) by 12noon.
